When will the class meet?
The class will meet on Tuesday & Thursday evenings & every Saturday.
Where will the class meet?
All training will occur at Sheriff Headquarters or the Sheriff's Office Tactical Training Facility (Marine Corps Air Station Mirimar).
What can I do when I graduate?
You will receive a P.O.S.T. Certificate certifying you as a Level III Reserve Peace Officer. When an agency accepts you, you will be sworn in and will begin serving your community.
How and when do I apply to a department?
After you are accepted into our academy, we can assist you in connecting with a department of your choice. Some students may choose to apply concurrent to their training, while others may choose to wait until they graduate to apply.
How much will this program cost?
The cost is approximately $1200 per student. However, for those who pursue placement with an agency before training, sponsorships may be available, in which case tuition and other expenses are borne by the agency.
